I was born and raised in Zululand which is on the north eastern seaboard of South Africa bordering Mozambique. I spent a great deal of my childhood in the Hluhluwe and Umfolozi game reserves with many hours in the bush game viewing. I love African wildlife and since moving to the UK in 2005 have drawn great comfort from expressing that love with my art.
I feel my life in Africa has been a build-up to this time. Information - passion - knowledge and feeling - all related to African wildlife - stored up in me for a time such as this.
A time when I am living so far from it - a time when my love for it is in some way fed and nurtured by this outpouring onto canvas/paper some of what is stored up in me.
I have no formal art training and work from home in my own little studio. I am a member of the London Visual Arts Group and with them have ongoing exhibitions at Sheraton Hotel Heathrow and Fego's, Gerrards Cross.
